Stiefel-Fresh was a career woman until she
married two years ago, left her job and moved
to Middletown with her husband, who promptly
took a job in upstate New York. Now, she is a
housewife who cares for two homes (they have a
house at the beach) while her husband works Mondays
through Thursdays. She spends weekends cooking
and packing his lunches for the upcoming week.
“Every week, I make sure he comes home to a clean
bathroom, fresh sheets on the bed and home-cooked
meals,” she says. “It is quite cliché, isn’t it? Very 1950s,
but it’s what makes me fabulous.”
