Delaware Theatre Company is an intimate, 389-seat house that offers classic and contemporary plays, musicals and new works for the stage. It’s the only professional theater company in the Brandywine Valley and is gaining a reputation as a pre-Broadway venue.

Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts is a canvas for new ideas and creative art. DCCA houses seven galleries, 26 artist studios, a gift shop, classroom space and a high-tech auditorium.

OperaDelaware, one of the oldest opera companies in America, is committed to “Opera for Everyone.” Innovations include cabaret-style performances, where guests sip wine while listening to arias sung by the best voices in the region. The soaring Opera Studios overlook the Christina River. 

City Theater Company, Delaware’s Off-Broadway, presents offbeat productions, original works and spins on classics in the intimate Black Box in the OperaDelaware building. The company produces two main stage productions each season as well as its popular Community Series, a forum to promote local playwrights and young and emerging actors.
