Award-winning Kick n’ Chicken gets its kick from a 24-hour marinating process, during which the fresh, hand-cut pieces of chicken soak in flavor and gain tenderness, says general manager Scott Saucier. After breading and frying, the result is crispy perfection. “People describe it as a Southern fried chicken,” he says. Crisp, with a hint of pepper.
Eight-year-old Kick n’ turns the heat up further with its wings—especially the Jamaican-inspired Tasmanian wings, with their jerk-style seasoning, as well as spicy garlic, garlic-Parmesan, and house-blended buffalo sauce. The wings have medaled in the Delaware State Chicken Wing Championship and the Polar Bear Plunge Wing Contest, and have earned multiple Best of Delaware recognitions.
