Kozy Korner
(Editors, Upstate)
For more than 90 years, some iteration of Kozy Korner has been a staple in its neighborhood. It ain’t fancy, but you’ll find good food at great prices in a truly cozy space where you’re sure to see someone you know. Bonus: The chipped beef is homemade. Super hungry? Try the five-egg omelet.

Helen’s Famous Sausage House

The sign says it all: “If it ain’t Helen’s, it ain’t sausage!” Helen’s Famous Sausage House is as iconic as they come. Just ask the scores of hunters and truck drivers who start pouring through the doors at 4 a.m. for a tasty egg and sausage sandwich. (We love the scrapple sub and the jumbo pork chop sandwich, too.) The home fries add to the fame of it all, as does the tribute to Elvis.
