Snap out of it—you are here to play golf, not take pictures. But no one would blame you at this photogenic final hole. Baywood’s No. 18 impresses right from the start, with its island tee boxes, arched bridge, and a stunning array of beautiful flowers.
“As you look down the fairway, golfers are blown away by the view of our outstanding clubhouse in the distance,” says head pro Anthony Hollerback. “Once you get past the beauty, the golf hole itself is quite a challenge, no matter what tee box you play. With bunkers down the left and water farther down the right, the golfer has to decide to lay-up to the right of the bunkers and short of the water, or try to fly the bunkers, bringing the water on the right in to play on wayward drives. The green is surrounded on all sides by bunkers and, depending on the pin placement, makes the approach shot very difficult.”
