“We have a liaison committee allowing staff to develop fun and multi-tier group events. Certain staff also receive professional coaches that help us creatively explore their interests in the accounting field.”
On work/life balance …
“Personal obligations are able to be kept while working—we have flexible schedules even in the busy season. Our flex schedules offer banked time from working overtime during our busy season. We have the ability to work from home if needed, and the firm encourages staff to participate in community and charitable events. Likewise, the coaching program allows staff to develop a career they love—making it desirable to come to work. Not only are we balancing our personal time with work, but we’re excited to have our work even during personal time.”
On diversity …
“About a third of the ownership is female and a large proportion of the staff is, too. We have people from various ethnicities. We work with international clients, so diversity is extremely helpful.”
On funky, fun stuff …
“We work with The Fun Dept. This past busy season, we had tricycle races around the office, cup-stacking tournaments, trivia, as well as carolers at Christmas. Last year, we had a mini-golf course set up around the office for a tournament.”
