Breast Cancer Statistics in the United States

All statistics are from the American Cancer Society.


Breast Cancer Statistics
According to the American Cancer Society, there will be an estimated
770 new cases of breast cancer this year in Delaware.
An estimated 120 will die from the disease this year.
An estimated 232,340 new cases of invasive breast cancer are
expected to occur among women in the U.S. during 2013; about 2,240 new cases expected
in men. In addition to invasive breast cancer, 64,640 new cases of in situ
breast cancer are expected to occur among women in 2013.
An estimated 40,030 breast cancer deaths (39,620 women, 410 men) are expected in 2013.
Breast cancer ranks second as a cause of cancer death in women (after lung cancer).
