Casino Guide 2013: Connecticut

Where to place your bets in Connecticut.

Two Native American-operated casino resorts provide all the gaming action and entertainment you could want in Connecticut. The Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Resort Casino also offer amenity-filled accommodations, including championship golf courses, full-service salon/spas and dining options that range from the budget-friendly to the super-posh.

The Mohegan Sun has three casinos offering more than 300,000 square feet of gaming, including 42 poker tables, 5,700 slots and 285 table games.
A fourth area, Sunrise Square, features Asian gaming and food options. Two interactive family-centric play venues, Kids Quest and Cyber Quest, keep the kids happy.

Foxwoods is the largest resort of its kind in North America, with gaming in six casinos. More than 6,000 slots range from penny games to $100 machines, while 350-plus tables feature 17 different games and 100 poker tables are active round the clock. Foxwoods is also the only place in New England for high-stakes bingo, and renovations are enhancing its cache as a retail mecca, with the addition of more than 75 stores.
