Celia Cohen, political writer

Celia Cohen is Delaware’s premier political writer. She is recognized for her interviewing skills and her incisive, informative, yet entertaining coverage of Delaware politics and politicians. Since 1974 she has covered local and statewide politics for Delaware publications. During those years she developed an enviable reputation for accuracy, fairness and an understanding of the particular ways in which Delaware politics works. From Iowa caucuses to New Hampshire primaries, Cohen reported on Delaware’s presidential candidates. Covering eight national nominating conventions, she brought to Delawareans both the national influence and local perspective of Delaware’s delegations. In 2002 Celia authored “Only in Delaware,” which has become an invaluable resource to those interested in Delaware’s politics and history. In October 2002 she created Delaware’s first all-electronic newspaper, delawaregrapevine.com. Celia has earned numerous professional awards for her reporting and writing.
