Few people in the local restaurant industry have as broad a reach as Bryony Zeigler. As an owner of SoDel Concepts and Highwater Management, she operates from Ocean City, Md., to Wilmington. Though the businesses include a catering operation and concession management at a sports complex, SoDel is most recognizable as the umbrella of a group of beach-area restaurants that includes Bluecoast, Lupo di Mare and Northeast Seafood Kitchen—all having grown since she started redfin with Matt Haley in Bethany Beach 10 years ago. Despite the wide reach, Zeigler has no plan to end her working days in the restaurant business. “I hope to have four or five careers in my life,” she says.
