As CEO of YWCA Delaware, Ginny Burke Marino is charged with the mission of eliminating racism and empowering women—no small order. In part, that means having helped 6,700 people last year do things like start businesses and secure mortgages. That number is up from 2,700 served just a few years ago. The job is a natural fit for this former banker, who left the financial and IT industries for the YWCA in 2004. Her big goal now is to expand the organization’s impact in Kent and Sussex counties and to reach more girls.
