Until two years ago, Lisa Bolten had worked on the science side of DuPont, most recently as a manager for the Teflon business, a job that gave her family the opportunity to live in Shanghai. Then she heard that the Hotel du Pont needed a general manager. The position intrigued her. Now director of DuPont Hospitality—Hotel du Pont, DuPont Theatre and DuPont Country Club—she is preparing for the 100th anniversary of the hotel and theater next year. “We see this as a chance to highlight the important part that the hotel and the theater have played as part of the company, as well as the community,” Bolten says. “DuPont has been careful to maintain the integrity of each property and I’m personally proud to be a part of the contribution it makes to Wilmington, the state of Delaware and beyond.”
