Maritza Poza-Grise suggests that a good tag line for DuPont would be “One company, many careers,” and she would know. Trained as a chemical engineer, her journey to vice president of human resources included technical assignments to manufacturing experience to business and product management for such renowned products as Tyvek, Kevlar and Nomex. Now she oversees DuPont’s human resources partners around the world. At 209 years young, DuPont, she says, is reinventing itself yet again. “We are working to find solutions to such global challenges as providing enough healthy food for people everywhere, decreasing dependence on fossil fuels, and protecting life and the environment.” For her, that means managing the retirement of boomers, staffing for high-growth markets, continuing to develop strong leadership, and “ensuring our people everywhere in the globe are engaged and excited about their role in DuPont’s growth mission.”
