Owner Michele Scott-Costa established Designer Consigner Inc. in 2009 as a grass-roots, small business consignment boutique with one 1,500-square-foot store and it steadily grew over the past eight years into two locations. Boasting more than 2,000 consigners, Designer Consigner doubled its size in 2013 with an expansion to nearly 3,000-square-feet. It also opened a second store in Rehoboth Beach and will be opening another location—Designer Consigner Men’s—in early 2017.
With the stores being best known for great deals on designer handbags and other high-end clothing and accessories, Designer Consigner has won numerous awards and accolades including Best of Delaware for “Best Bargain Shopping” both upstate and downstate. Designer Consigner is very active in the community and has been featured in numerous articles and broadcasts statewide.
