Do You Know About Chocolate's Rising 'Bean-to-Bar' Movement?

The owners of Double Spiral Chocolate will discuss the phenomenon—samples included!—at an event on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

Like craft beer, the craft chocolate movement has risen to another level, revealing a whole new world of flavors and decadence. If you want to learn (and taste) more, make plans to attend “Bean-to Bar-Chocolate—Taste the Dark Side” on Tuesday, Dec. 19, in the Lower Arden Gild Hall. Mhari and Stuart Craig of Double Spiral Chocolate—the first handcrafted bean-to-bar chocolate maker in Delaware—will discuss the bean-to-bar movement.

Guests will taste a cacao bean and compare the flavors of selected dark chocolate samples. They will also learn how these chocolate makers balance taste and nutrition using wholesome ingredients and select single-origin cacao for distinctive flavors and inspiring stories.
