Smyrna Diner
Well over six years have passed since the old stainless steel trailer was sold and moved from its longtime home on U.S. 13 to Nebraska, but the new Smyrna Diner is still a landmark. Locals sit at the counter to gab with each other every morning. Travelers, especially beachgoers, headed to points north and south rest there. Sunday mornings see standing-room-only crowds. People go for diner classics done well—chicken and dumplings, Salisbury steak, and liver and onions—and prompt, friendly service. Don’t forget: breakfast is served all day. 99 S.
