Emergency Kit

Share

I was packing up this morning to go visit my Mom for Thanksgiving, so I was thinking about all of the little things that I’ll need to put an end to any traveling emergencies. That got my brain rolling about the necessities for a wedding day emergency kit. Here are my top items.

Make sure you have:

White chalk–it covers stains on your gown

A small candle–the wax will help stuck zippers

Clear nail polish–it’s great for stopping nylon runs, pulls in fabric and wayward buttons

Lotion–put some on before sliding on hosiery to prevent pulls

Baby wipes–they’re always great for removing makeup, but they also remove lint on fabric

Double-sided tape–it keeps bra straps and sliding dresses in place

Hair spray–it’s not just for hair anymore, it also removes red wine stains

Crackers–you will get hungry

Wine opener—you don’t want to be caught without one

Asprin

Breath mints

A hand mirror

Q-tips

Tissues

Tampons

Nail files

Extra hosiery

Hair pins

Safety pins

Scissors
