Faithful Friends Animal Society's Pancakes For Paws Event Is Back

The Wilmington-based no-kill shelter hosts its yearly breakfast benefit on Sunday.

I never need much convincing when pancakes are involved, but when the ultimate breakfast food helps out a local animal shelter, then there is no stopping me. This Sunday, Faithful Friends Animal Society is once again hosting Pancakes For Paws.

The menu includes pancakes, of course, as well as scrambled eggs and potatoes (vegan pancakes are also available). Mimosas and bloody marys can be purchased for $5, as well as shots of Baileys, Amaretto and Kahlua for $3 each.

Get some raffle tickets while you’re there, too: three for $5 or 10 for $10. And keep your eye out for special appearances from dogs that are looking for their forever homes.

The event is this Sunday at the Elks Lodge, located at 1310 Carruthers Lane in Wilmington. There are three seating times available: 9, 10 and 11 a.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children, but if you become a monthly donor to Faithful Friends of $25 or more, breakfast is free. You will also receive four tickets to Pancakes for Paws and $25 worth of raffle tickets. To learn more about the event, visit pancakesforpaws.com. If you cannot attend the event but would still like to make a donation, visit faithfulfriends.us.
