Did you notice some new signage at the Trolley Square shopping center the last time you made an El Diablo run? We’ve got the scoop.
Owner Tony Matula is reportedly condensing his two businesses, the Greek eatery Opa! Opa! and Dino’s Steaks. That eatery is still undergoing renovations but may reopen as early as Friday, Jan. 26. (Dino’s Steaks had opened early last year and served Philly-style cheesesteaks as well as burgers and appetizers.)
Delaware Local Food Exchange has changed both its name and location. Now known as HoneyBee Seasonal Kitchen & Market, the business now resides in the former Opa! Opa! space. HoneyBee officially opened last week and is busy preparing local, organic homemade to-go dishes like chicken salad and turkey meatloaf. According to its Facebook page, the specialty grocery store will still carry many of its top sellers, including produce, dairy products, Kombucha and bread. They say the move was prompted by the need for a larger kitchen space, as they currently have three chefs on staff.
National sandwich chain Subway has also shuttered its doors in the shopping center.
