Jennifer A. Adkins: Delaware Women in Business

In January, watch for news from the Delaware Estuary Science and Environmental Summit in Cape May, N.J., where Jennifer A. Adkins, executive director of the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary, intends to roll out a strategic plan that will guide the nonprofit for the next five years. The partnership coordinates the efforts of federal, state and local groups to improve the health of the Delaware River and bay, one of 28 such environments that Congress has made part of the National Estuary Program. A gubernatorial appointee to Delaware’s Clean Water Advisory Council, Adkins also serves on the boards of The Christina Conservancy and the Association of National Estuary Programs.
