Abbott has achieved what she calls the trifecta:
enjoying a family, a successful career and also
finding time to take care of herself. “I’m not unlike
a lot of people,” she says. “I am happy I can balance
it all and be a mom.” Abbott, a senior event planner
at Winterthur, wakes up at 5 a.m. to hit the gym.
Then she takes her 10-year-old daughter to school
and heads to work. Abbott ran four of her husband’s
political campaigns during their 21-year marriage.
Her work at Winterthur is especially busy leading
up to the annual Point-to-Point this month. “Working
for a nonprofit is certainly a labor of love,” she says.
