Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Festival
The long-running Fourth of July weekend fest had a hiccup a few years back, but it made a smooth comeback last year at Rockwood Park in Wilmington. The event showcases ice cream from top local creameries, but also offers plenty of good food, live music and vendors.

Delaware Shakespeare Festival
In its 11th season, this festival produces the best from the Bard at Rockwood Park in Wilmington.

People’s Festival
A celebration of music and culture held at Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park in Wilmington, the People’s Festival pays tribute to Bob Marley, who lived in Delaware for a short time.

Kent County

Delaware State Fair
The 10-day event in Harrington features grandstand events like a demolition derby and concerts by some of the top acts in the United States. Local youth exhibit cows, goats, sheep and the like, while the midway offers myriad games and the fair’s signature Ferris wheel. Food offerings run the gamut, from Little Richard’s fresh-squeezed lemonade to burgers and fries at the Grange Hall.

Rehoboth Beach Fireworks
Join 80,000 on the boardwalk and beach as fireworks light up the night sky. And don’t miss the concert at the bandstand.

Nanticoke Riverfest
Hundreds take to the Nanticoke River in downtown Seaford for three days of fun, games, car shows and the famous float-in.
