Falk resigned as director of Southern Delaware Tourism in 2007 to become a stay-at-home mom. Falk and her husband, Jim, have a 15-year-old and a 5-year-old. Along with being an active mom, she teaches group fitness classes, works as a social marketing coordinator for a tourism publication and dabbles in baking custom cakes at Coastal Cakes by Karen. She also volunteers her time to bake for local charity events. Says her daughter, Shannon, “She taught me that family is first and your career can be put on the back burner to raise a family.”
