Marini Produce: A Farmers Market in Wilmington, Delaware

Open: May-Halloween. Also open around Thanksgiving and Christmas. Frilly lettuce, gleaming tomatoes and a pile of corn greet customers to this beloved market, a Brandywine Hundred favorite since the 1950s. Located across from St. Edmond’s Academy, Marini Produce has grown from a small produce stand to a market that offers a variety of veggies and to-die-for pies. The stand is covered, but open to summer breezes.
Don’t miss: DiBruno Brothers’ cheeses and Norman, the pot-bellied pig. “He has his own Facebook page,” says Jimmy Marini of the stand’s mascot. “We’re up to 2,300 friends.” And counting.
