If someone asked me, “How do you become a business leader who is devoted to the community?” I would point to Marvin “Skip” Schoenhals. His business history is a lifelong synthesis of tireless service and leadership, which has benefited everyone in Delaware. A member of the Delaware Business Hall of Fame, Skip was also awarded the prestigious Josiah Marvel Cup Award for his outstanding contributions to the state, community and society. Those at WSFS have directly benefited from his effective leadership, which dramatically revived the institution. People who work with him know that his interests extend beyond and through business to revitalizing education and feeding the hungry in Delaware. I began with the question “How do you become a business leader who is devoted to the community?” Skip’s resounding answer has been to inspire others. You have inspired me and the many people who have worked with me. You have my sincere admiration. Thank you, Skip.
