Volunteerism and Service
Moonyeen Klopfenstein, MS, RN, IBCLC, CCE. Christiana Care Health System (retired)
It is a pleasure to educate others about healthy lifestyles. The most important aspect of volunteering is community outreach and educating the public on health promotion: preventing stroke, early recognition of stroke symptoms, advance directives, palliative care, end-of-life issues, prenatal education and the importance of providing breast milk for babies. If I can be a teacher, counselor, support and navigator through the health care system, I have done my job well.
