On display now, “World War II: Rehoboth Beach” shows how residents of the state’s most famous resort were affected by the war. Photographs show members of the Civil Air Patrol standing proudly by their planes and other scenes. Among memorabilia in the collection is a WWII rationing coupon booklet. “This exhibit is to bring honor to those who fought in the war,” says museum director Nancy Alexander. “Also to remember those families who gave up some of the things they loved— special treats or Sunday rides—in order to support those who gave their lives to secure our freedom.” (227-7310, rehobothbeachmuseum.org)
