Rehoboth VegFest is here. If you’re already a committed vegetarian, if you’re curious, or if you simply want to expand your grazing range, it’s an event well worth taking part in. It starts June 12 with the Rehoboth Beach VegFest Kickoff Dinner, a three-course vegan dinner at the Atlantic Sands Hotel and Conference Center, and with a screening of “Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret” environmental documentary. Saturday brings the main event: a free festival celebrating healthy, sustainable, and compassionate living. Enjoy inspiring speakers, tastings, dozens of exhibitors, cooking demos, a yoga village, healthy-eating tent, kids’ activities, music, and amazing food. The fun happens at Epworth UM Church, off Coastal Highway, next to Seaside Outlets, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday sees the VegFest Vegan Celebrity Brunch at The Cellar Door on Baltimore Avenue. The brunch features an expansive buffet of special vegan dishes created by Cellar Door executive chef Manuel Gallo-Contera. For more on the festival, check www.rehobothvegfest.org.
