Several New Restaurants Are Popping Up in Pike Creek

Diners can enjoy everything from sushi and smoothies to burgers and beer from an exciting new array of eateries.

The restaurant scenes in Wilmington and Newark have been on fire lately—but what about Pike Creek?

At last, a host of new eateries have been taking up shop. Café Pomodoro Cucina Italiana opened in the Shops of Limestone Hills in early December in the location that once housed BellaVista Trattoria and then the short-lived Pike Creek Pizza Company (5337B Limestone Road).

In Pike Creek Shopping Center, Tropical Smoothie Café (4742 Limestone Road)—a chain offering made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, bowls and smoothies—opened its doors in January.

Sushi Xtreme (4708 Limestone Road) plans to open toward the end of February. The restaurant will serve all-you-can-eat sushi, as well as Japanese bento box options for lunch.

Still under construction, Linden Hill Station—a new mixed-use development that will boast over 30,000 square feet of retail space for restaurants, boutiques and offices—is bringing plenty of family-friendly dining options. Keep an eye out for 1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria and Café Americana, plus Chuck Lager’s Tavern, which is owned by former “Top Chef” contestant Fabio Viviani and will serve gourmet hamburgers, craft beer and wine.
