“I’m far from housewife baller (popular) status like
those on TV, but I do live a great life and my fabulous
friends are the story of it,” says Porter. Porter is fiercely
independent, plays field hockey year-round in the
Delaware Sports League and travels to see friends
during “girl weekends.” Porter put herself through college,
earning a doctor of pharmacy degree while working
at Christiana Hospital, where she continues to work today.
“Everything I have I worked for and did on my own,” she says.
“Nothing was handed to me.”
