“Souper Bowl” Success

Share

On Feb. 6, The Salvation Army held its second annual “Souper Bowl” event at Gallucio’s Italian Restaurant in Wilmington. The event was a “touchdown” in the continuing efforts to feed hungry Delawareans.

Soup division winners from Saturday’s event were Cosi with its tomato-and-basil soup in first place, Harry’s Seafood and Grill with its New England clam chowder in second and The Salvation Army Senior Center’s cream of mushroom soup in third. In the chili division, a two-way tie for first place was awarded to Texas Roadhouse and Dead Presidents.

The next Souper Bowl events will take place on Feb. 20 at Nicola’s Pizza in Rehoboth, on Feb. 27 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover and on March 19 at Immediato’s Bistro in Middletown.
