St. Mark’s High School

A coeducational private Catholic college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Wilmington (stmarkshs.net)

St. Mark’s aims to provide a comprehensive educational and extracurricular program that creates leaders of the church and the world “whose faith in God and service to others model excellence, humility, and integrity.”

The leadership’s hope is that graduates move beyond their personal desires to begin to meet the needs of others through their actions. Graduates include a Miss USA pageant participant, major league baseball players, a pro football player, horse racing jockey, campaign manager for Barack Obama in 2008, and U.S. Rep. John Carney. Students of all faiths are welcome: four of five students at St. Mark’s are Catholic. The school has 48 athletic teams in 26 sports and sponsors more than 45 extracurricular activities annually.
