When it comes to clothing, Simmons, a stylist at MichaelAngelo’s, is anything but dull. “My personal style is eccentric and edgy,” she says. To capture the vivacity of her style, Simmons plays with a combination of bright colors and bold prints, creating a vibrant harmonious look.
Shopping at H&M (hm.com) and Urban Outfitters (urbanoutfitters.com) in the Christiana Mall (shopchristianamall.com) in Newark, Simmons stocks her wardrobe with a mixture of good quality stylish pieces. “They have an awesome balance of edgy and stylish clothes. I can find pieces that are conservative enough to wear to work, and that I can play in as well.”
Simmons’ best tip when it comes to maintaining that trendy flair? “Don’t be afraid to step outside the box. You can be edgy just by adding a pop of color to a basic dress or an animal print shoe to a solid outfit.” Following her own advice, Simmons will be making a strong statement this fall as she debuts an assortment of leather skirts and knee-high boots, trends she finds to be “great fashion forward and edgy transitions from the warm to cooler weather.”
