Open: Mid-April-Dec. 24 Established in 1907, this 800-acre family farm is best-known for its peaches and apples. This year, the farm debuted Black Twig Sparkling Hard Apple. “It’s Delaware’s first hard cider,” says Greer Stangle of T.S. Smith. “But at 8 percent alcohol, it’s legally known as wine.” You can only buy the cider in a liquor store. The market holds an abundance of produce, from cauliflower to zucchini—all locally grown.
CSA: The farm’s first starts in July.
Don’t miss: Farm tours, customer appreciation day on Aug. 11 and “Apple Scrapple on the Farm” on Oct. 12 and 13.
