The Ultimate Delaware Pizza Guide: Gallucio’s is a Restaurant on Lovering Avenue in Wilmington in New Castle County

Gallucio’s

Why we love it:
It’s a great neighborhood place founded by a great man: the late Jerry Gallucio. He died suddenly in 2009, but his spirit is alive and well here. The pizza is as superb as he always insisted it be.
The pie to try:
Pomodor with Bacon Topped with garlic, tomatoes, onion, fresh basil, provolone cheese, and drizzled with olive oil, this is a standout among many good choices. Gallucio’s is also one of the few places around to grab a panzerotti, the deep-fried cousin of pizza.
