Daneya Jacobs
Owner, Candy Connections, Middletown

Though Jacobs admits she’s learned how to cut her own hair, she still has a favorite stylist for color. “Ayanna Redden is a colorist extraordinaire. She’s really personal and doesn’t gossip with her clients,” Jacobs says of go-to at Plush Hair Studio in Bear. Jacobs also loves the occasional mani-pedi at Envy Nails & Spa in Middletown. She says, “Their pedicures go above and beyond.” She loves to get manicures with her daughter.

Maureen Botti
Owner, Aquamarine at 114, Lewes

Botti considers herself lucky to live in an area where a good pampering is always around the corner. For haircuts, she relies on Alli Knox at Bling Salon. “I’m pretty adventurous when it comes to hair, and Alli always rises to the occasion of delivering something fresh and fun,” she says. The Village Salon and Spa is Botti’s go-to place for nails, while Made Ya Look! Salon & Day Spa is her favorite for spray tans and facials. A massage at Bad Hair Day? “is a little slice of heaven,” she says.

Erin Thwaites
Owner, Bel Boutique, Dover

Thwaites meets many new faces as a small business owner, so she hears all about the most popular spots to get pampered in Kent County. Her staff all goes to the same stylist, Emily Moses, at René Delyn Hair Design Studio. “I personally go to Beehive Beauty Shop. Kathy Lord is awesome,” she says. “So many of my customers are hair stylists, but I only have one head.”
