There's Fun for the Whole Family This Weekend at Woodside Farm Creamery

Saturday, June 3, is the Annual Hockessin Volunteer Fire Company Appreciation Day.

This Saturday, June 3, from noon–7 p.m., head to Woodside Farm Creamery for the 11th Annual Hockessin Volunteer Fire Company Appreciation Day. Hockessin Fire Company – Station 19 will be on the farm with its fire trucks and ambulance to say hello and promote fire safety. Kids can get an up-close-and-personal look at all the equipment and even climb aboard. The firemen and firewomen will be roasting a pig and selling pulled pork sandwiches.

Be sure to buy a ticket for your chance to win $500 during cow pie bingo. At 7 p.m., one Jersey cow will be released onto the bingo board-painted pasture. You must wait for her to “do her business,” and whichever box it lands in will be the $500 winner. Tickets are $5 each; you may purchase as many as you like. (You do not need to be present to win.) You can also purchase tickets for raffle baskets donated by Hockessin businesses.
