“The most important aspect of my current work as a school health consultant and the trainer and developer of the Delaware School Nurse Mentoring Program is to demonstrate leadership and advocacy skills. My nursing specialty is geared to health promotion and disease prevention, thus my work at the Delaware Council on Gambling Problems, where I go into schools with the message that addiction is preventable, which promotes a healthy lifestyle and reduction of high-risk behaviors.”
