Now at Union City Grille in Wilmington, appearances by Bruce “the Jazzman” Anthony live in the bar every Tuesday. To celebrate UCG is offering its awesome two-course $20 menu and a special $5 select wine by the glass. Last week’s 2-20 menu choices: One from each menu. Starters include crab bisque; roasted cauliflower with lemon, olive oil, chile flake and Manchego; hearts of Romaine salad; and grilled flatbread with crispy sopressata, provolone and kale. Main courses include pan-seared ricotta gnocchi; braised pork with mushrooms, spinach, melted gorgonzola; grilled salmon with horseradish-whipped potatoes, green beans and tomato-caper brown butter; panko-crusted chicken breast with bacon-chive macaroni and cheese and poblano barbecue; and beer-battered Gulf shrimp with fried potatoes, mixed greens and chipotle remoulade.
