Punkin Ale, Dominion Octoberfest, Spiced Harvest Ale—these are popular local brews containing notes of pumpkin. But which one takes the cake? That question is what started the Great Pumpkin Debate, initially among the staff members at Peco’s Liquors, who found it increasingly difficult to decide.
The debate has since grown to include customers and community members, who can vote for their favorites after a blind taste test of every pumpkin beer Peco’s carries. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 7–10 p.m. in Bellevue State Park and will also include a hayride, live music and a bonfire. Proceeds will benefit Delaware Humane Association.
General admission tickets are $35; designated driver tickets are $10. (Fees apply.) Purchase tickets via Ticketleap.
