Delawareans love to eat scrapple, but do you know why? Join local author and storyteller Ed Okonowicz on Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 7–9 p.m. at Greenbank Mills & Philips Farm for an informative and entertaining program called “Food Lore: Scrapple, Muskrat and More.”
Okonowicz will explore the personal heritage and regional influences associated with what Delawareans eat—from the catches of Chesapeake Bay watermen to the customs preserved in immigrant neighborhoods.
The program is presented through the help of a grant from Delaware Humanities. Light refreshments, including samples of local fare, will be served. Admission is free, though donations are graciously and gratefully accepted.
Purchase tickets via Eventbrite.
