Porretti leads La Esperanza in providing programs and services that support the integration and empowerment of Latino immigrants as contributing residents of Sussex County. But that’s not all. In the year since she joined, Porretti, a new member of the Delaware Hispanic Commission, has worked to establish La Esperanza as the agency of choice for Latinos. Her responsibilities include the oversight and overall administration, fiscal management and leadership in providing family development, immigration, victims services and education programs. “I always think positive and have faith to overcome any barrier or challenge,” Porretti says. “If I did not think this way, I would not be in the position I am today.”
