Sara Monserrat Teixido
Wilmington
Director of Marketing and Communications, Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts
“My role at the DCCA is that of story-teller and people-connector,” Teixido says. “I tell the story of each exciting event, compelling program and thought-provoking exhibition at the DCCA.” This year she has also served as chair of the Brandywine Museums and Gardens Alliance, a group of 11 cultural institutions that offers a bargain-priced summer passport to the member institutions. On her watch, the sixth year of the program has been the most successful yet. Though Teixido hopes to help other nonprofits and cultural institutions better understand the use and value of social media, she is also working to re-launch her handcrafted jewelry business, Monserrat Elements. Look for her first show in December.
