“People often ask, ‘What would you do if you won the lottery?’ For me, the answer is simple,” says Avery. “The day after I won, I’d still be here, working at Autism Delaware.” Since the beginning of the year, Avery has managed daily operations and helped set strategic direction, all to create better lives for Delawareans affected by autism spectrum disorders through family support, adult services, clinical services, advocacy and awareness. “I have the unique privilege of working with incredible colleagues toward making a real difference in people’s lives every day,” Avery says. “I’m right where I want to be.”
