When Loizeaux was in college as a communications major, she was unsure where to go next. Advertising wasn’t on the list. “I didn’t have a clear goal or what I wanted to do after graduation,” she says.
But then she participated in an advertising internship and she was hooked. “I kind of fell in love with it,” she says.
Along with working on ad campaigns, Loizeaux is an active volunteer in her community. “I want Wilmington to be a better place,” she says. All of the organizations she gets involved with mean something to Loizeaux, either because of a friend or family member’s struggle, or because she loves animals.
The best piece of advice that still follows Loizeaux today in her work is from the late Jane Bartsch, who told her “to always take the opportunity to mentor a younger woman … and be sure to learn something from them as well as teach them.”
